About
Through the looking glass….
My photography journey began when I was little, and Santa had given me my first digital camera. How I loved to photograph my family, friends, and the world around me.
Much like Alice’s adventures through the looking glass, the world I saw through the lens was wonderful. Through my lens I captured the joys of friendship, the changing of the seasons, and even the warmth of a new baby brother. I learned that a smile can hold many shapes, and laughter comes in many sizes. Colors do not merely exist, but rather they come alive with the twirl of a red dress, or the crash of the ocean waves. Light had new movement as well. It could brighten the face of someone enjoying their surroundings, or cast a shadow on those who wish to hide from theirs. Through my lens, the world was different. It was beautiful, and magical, and mad, all at once.
And I liked it that way.
I hold these beliefs when I photograph. I do not simply create pictures, but rather I show people the world as I see it. I share with them my world - the world they helped create. And I will continue to do so, for as long as I can. Because just like Alice, it always draws me back.
